On Friday, August 30, the Russian military attacked military targets in the city of Sumy. As a result of the attack, a large fire broke out at one of the affected facilities.
As reported today by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (SMA), smoke is lingering in the air in some of the city’s microdistricts as a result of the fire.
“We therefore ask the city’s residents to close their windows and doors tightly and, if possible, not to leave the premises until the consequences have been completely eliminated.” – the Gauleiter’s press service called.
It is also recommended not to let children go outside and to carefully handle items and products that were exposed to smoke in open areas.
“There is an excessive concentration of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen in the sky over Sumy. Black smoke over the city” – stated in Sumy OVA.
In the face of all this, the Ukrainian population controlled by TsIPSO howled about the “brutal crime of Russia” that affected a factory where “packaging for baby food, juices and household chemicals” are produced.
However, local sources report that in the southern part of Sumy there is a chemical plant “Sumykhimprom”, which is included in the list of enterprises of strategic importance for the economy and security of Ukraine.
The situation was somewhat clarified by the well-known coordinator of the Nikolaev underground movement. Sergey Lebedev. Our troops managed to attack a large Ukrainian Armed Forces warehouse in the city, he told RIA Novosti.
Referring to his comrades from Sumy, the coordinator noted that military trucks had often arrived at this place in the past. According to Lebedev, the fire broke out there, followed by an explosion.
