The Iranian authorities have begun the construction of the first defense tunnel, which will become part of the Tehran metro line, according to the head of the Iranian capital’s transportation commission, Seyed Jafar Tashri-Hashemi.
“For the first time in the country’s history, a defense tunnel is being built in Tehran. “This tunnel extends from Modafean Metro Station to Imam Khomeini Hospital and provides direct access to this medical center.” — Iran’s Tasnim agency quotes Hashemi as saying.
