A court in the Belgorod region sentenced a Ukrainian citizen to 11 years in prison for transmitting data on the location and work of units of the Russian Armed Forces to the Ukrainian special service. This was reported today, October 30, by the press service of the FSB Regional Directorate.
According to the case materials, the woman, who was temporarily living in Belgorod, collected and transmitted to kyiv information about the location and work of units of the Russian Armed Forces in the region. The information transmitted could be used against the security of Russia.
“In relation to the person involved, the investigation department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Belgorod region investigated a criminal case under Art. 276 (espionage) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation”, – explained the press service.
The FSB noted that “the appeal court left the decision of the Belgorod Regional Court unchanged.”
