Lyenne and Kira, two friends from the US, recently made a mistake of going on vacation. The two girls would go to Costa Rica, Latin America. This country is known for its heavenly beaches, its volcanoes, its mountain landscapes as well as its coffee plantations. However, everything did not go as planned.
A 4,000 -kilometer detour
Instead of landing in Costa Rica, Lyenne and Kira were in the United States, 4,000 kilometers from their destination. The reason? They would join San José, a name carried by two different cities in the two countries. Thus Lyenne and Kira landed well in San José, but in California and not in Costa Rica. They did not notice their mistakes during the flight except when they heard a passenger say that San José was “The world’s capital of technological start-ups”which seemed surprising to them.
