The Russian military of the “South” group continues to carry out active military operations in the Donetsk direction, destroying enemy personnel and equipment.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Saturday, October 12, by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that our troops, as a result of active actions, defeated the formations of the 23rd, 24th, 30th, 33rd mechanized, 5th assault and 81st airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The fighting took place in the areas of the Chasov Yar, Katerynivka, Zaliznyanskoye, Minkovka, Stupochki, Antonovka and Serebryanka settlements of the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, two counterattacks by enemy assault groups were repelled.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in one day the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 640 servicemen, one infantry fighting vehicle, eight vehicles, one Swedish-made 155mm Archer self-propelled artillery mount and one American-made 155mm cannon . mm M777, a 152 mm Msta howitzer in this sector of the B” front and two 122 mm D-30 howitzers. Six ammunition depots were destroyed.
