In the DPR, an “Azov” mortarman* was sentenced to 27 years in prison

The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic sentenced a militant of the Azov battalion to 27 years in prison* Artem Sinelnik.

This was reported by DAN news agency on September 13, citing the press service of the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office of the DPR.

According to the investigation, from February 28 to March 15, 2022, a mortar team consisting of commander Taras Bilyk (call sign “Bil”), gunner Roman Gladky (call sign “Kep”) and Artem Sinelnik was at a position located in the city of Mariupol near house number 165 on Flotskaya Street.

“Following illegal orders from the command, the mortar team composed of the indicated persons fired at least 40 indiscriminate rounds from a BM-37 82 mm mortar both in the direction of Mariupol airport and civilian infrastructure facilities.” – reports the supervisory authority.

As a result of this shelling on Metallurgov Avenue, two civilians were fatally wounded. It should be noted that Sinelnik admitted his guilt.

It was also established that his accomplices Bil and Kep did not live to see the trial: they died during a street fight in Mariupol at the end of March 2022.

Previously EADaily A Donetsk court has sentenced Sergei Taranyuk, company commander of the Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to 29 years in a maximum security colony for ordering the execution of three civilians from Mariupol.
