A truck driver killed a nine-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle in the Nizhny Novgorod region. A criminal case has been opened, reported the Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee for the region.
“In connection with the accident with the death of a nine-year-old child, a criminal case has been opened under paragraph “b” of part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person due to negligence, associated with leaving the place where it was committed)”, – says the message.
According to the department, on the afternoon of September 27 in the city of Bor, a driver ran over a child riding a bicycle and then fled the scene of the accident. The injured boy died in the hospital.
The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region reported that “the KamAZ driver was driving along Lugovaya Street in the village of Pikino and, not convinced of the safety of the maneuver, ran over a minor cyclist.
The identity of the driver who fled the scene of the accident is being established.
