An explosion occurred at an enterprise in Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the regional State Labour Inspectorate announced on August 29. It states that the incident occurred at the Orion research and production enterprise at around 21:00 Moscow time.
At the time of the explosion, 16 people evacuated alone. Two people were injured and taken to a medical facility.
“The workers were hospitalized with thermal burns covering approximately 30% of their body surface area, including burns to the upper respiratory tract, face and neck.” – says a message on the telegram channel of the State Labor Inspectorate.
The causes of the explosion are still being clarified.
