In the Rostov region, the court sends a volunteer of the SVO to death – EADaily – Russian News. News from Russia. Russia. Russian news today. News Russia. Russia September 16, 2024. Russian news September 16, 2024. News.

The Donetsk City Court of the Rostov region (chaired by Olga Sergeeva) has decided to expel from Russia a participant in the special operation, a native of Moldova, Gennady Fedko, for evading the previously designated expulsion. TASS writes about this today, September 16.

In Chisinau, Fedko could be sentenced to between five and ten years for mercenary activity. The leadership of the Voluntary Assault Corps (VSK), in whose ranks Fedko served, is also concerned that he could be handed over to the Ukrainian special services:

“A volunteer who stands up to defend Russia at the call of his heart can end up as a martyr in Ukrainian prisons. Moreover, under torture he can reveal information about the location of our military facilities.”

According to representatives of the Corps, Gennady Fedko took part in a special military operation and did not have time to prolong his stay in Russia. He left the combat zone to renew his contract. He was detained by border guards on September 12 at the checkpoint between the LPR and the Rostov region.

“How, tell me, could I fight on the front line and be registered on the immigration register at the same time?” — the DShK press service was outraged.

The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet commented on the situation.

Earlier, Moldovan authorities announced that citizens who fight on the side of Russia against Ukraine will be held criminally liable. At the same time, the Foreign Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine includes about 300 Moldovan mercenaries, whom Chisinau does not consider criminals. According to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Moldova Anatoly NosatiyOn the side of the neo-Nazi regime in kyiv, they are fighting legally, having signed a contract.

Moldovan Parliament Speaker, a well-known Russophobic trade unionist Igor Grošu He wished these “heroes” a speedy return home safe and victorious, and they recorded a video message in which they publicly supported the current puppet government, promising to come and “restore order with the opposition” in the country.

As reported EADaily Head of the Information and Security Service (ISS) of Moldova Alejandro Mustiata He has already noted that his department monitors cases of mercenaries and cooperates with the prosecutor’s office in special cases. He confirmed that the Moldovan special services do not believe that those who fight as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are subject to criminal liability, unlike those who oppose them. According to him, the ISS identifies citizens of the Republic of Moldova fighting in Ukraine and its partners help them in this.

“When they (mercenaries) return to the territory of the Republic of Moldova, we, together with the prosecutor’s office, carry out certain criminal proceedings,” – concluded Mustiata.
