In the Tula region, six heads of the Ministry of the Interior were arrested in the “uniformed organized criminal group” case.

Arrests are being carried out in the Tula region in a high-profile case of illegal migration organization. The Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the region reported on the arrest of the head of the department for organizing the activities of local police commissioners and youth affairs units, Vladimir Krikunov.

According to the investigation, Krikunov was a member of the commission for issuing quotas for temporary residence permits for immigrants in Russia.

In the period from 2020 to 2024, the former head of the department for organizing the activities of local police commissars and youth affairs units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Tula region, being a member of the commission for the issuance of quotas for temporary workers residence permits to foreign citizens of Armenia and Azerbaijan, knowing that the information on the addresses of residence and places of work of foreigners provided by the latter for consideration by the commission is not is reliable, to obtain a monetary reward, together with other members of the commission, made positive decisions on issuing quotas”, – he said in the statement.

Krikunov has now been detained for two months and charges will soon be brought against him.

As TC Readovka recalls, the case of the Tula migration “uniformed organized criminal group” was marked by a series of high-profile arrests. Detained deputy director of the department of migration issues of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Tula region Olga PasitovaColonel and Head of the Immigration Department Denis Oskinthree of his subordinates and two colonels – Startsev AND Lebedev. The total number of detainees exceeded 30 people.

During their “rule,” the group illegally housed more than 700 people in Russia.
