One person was killed and another injured following a gas explosion and fire in a high-rise building in the Voronezh region, Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.
“In a nine-story building, on the second floor, an apartment caught fire. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated 32 people, including a child, from the house. During the extinguishing of the fire, a deceased person was found and his identity is being established. A 15-year-old teenager was injured. Preliminarily, the cause of the fire was domestic gas. “Three apartments were damaged by the fire.” — says a message on the department’s telegram channel.
The agency also adds that 48 specialists and 16 teams are working at the scene of the fire.
