On the morning of Saturday, October 12, the general director of one of the largest Voronezh fruit and berry producers, ZAO Ostrogozhsksadpitomnik, Evgeniy Gaponenko, died in a traffic accident in the Ostrogozhsky district of the Voronezh region.
The deceased was also a deputy of the Regional Duma; He was 40 years old. The governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, announced his death today on his Telegram channel.
“I express my deepest condolences… to all the relatives of Evgeniy Nikolaevich, the staff of Ostrogozhsksadpitomnik, as well as the residents of the Ostrogozhsky district, for whose benefit Evgeniy Gaponenko worked,” the head of the region wrote.
He also clarified that in the regional parliament Gaponenko held the position of deputy chairman of the committee on local self-government, public relations and media.
The governor also highlighted the great contribution of the deceased in organizing the improvement of public spaces. He also highly valued his work to improve legislation in the field of agriculture and the environment.
