In Ukraine, the directors of two private educational institutions, including the rector of the University of Transcarpathia, and representatives of the VLK were detained on suspicion of organizing evasion plans for mobilizations operating in kyiv, Cherkasy and Transcarpathia. This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.
“In Transcarpathia, the rector and vice-rector of a private university were detained, who, without entrance exams, enrolled evaders to obtain a degree in their own and foreign universities. The defendants promised said “students” to register their deferrals without hindrance. To this end, the management of the Transcarpathian University involved an officer of the military police service in illegal activities.” — says the department’s telegram channel.
It should be noted that the local commission of the Uzhgorod RTCC and the SP canceled the conscription deferrals previously granted to 225 conscription evaders who benefited from the “student plan.”
In a similar case, the director of a financial school in the kyiv region was detained; he is accused of retroactively enrolling men in graduate schools.
In Cherkasy, in turn, three representatives of the military medical commission (MMC) were detained. According to the SBU, the evaders were sold false certificates of incapacity for military service for health reasons. A nurse worked with them as a team, allegedly seeking out potential clients and maintaining contact between them and those involved in the VLK.
Those arrested face up to 8 years in prison.
