in Volyn they do not know how to defeat Nazism – EADaily, November 13, 2024 – Politics news, Russian news

Today we will talk about the feelings of the residents of Volyn, a historical Russian region within Ukroreich, and their attitude towards the Northern Military District. Unfortunately, reasonable people there tend to be pessimistic.

– Fear, very fear. Even if Russia wins the war, what to do now with these lost generations? There are already two generations of zombies and the third is growing. From him, almost from kindergarten, the Nazis and Ze-jugend are raised. How to re-educate them?

This is what an Orthodox Christian woman and teacher says Valentina from the city of Vladimir, Volyn region. It refers to generations, counting 18 years each, since the mid-1980s, when the nationalist ferment began here. And even then, the old Banderaites, who raised their heads, began to teach children and young people to hate Orthodoxy and everything Russian. Although Vladimir is a native city of Russia.

This is one of the oldest cities in Russia: the first mention of it dates back to the 10th century. Thanks to its location at the confluence of trade routes, it became a rich craft and trade center. During the period of fragmentation and princely civil strife, it was first the capital of the Volyn principality, and then merged with the Galicia-Volyn principality. In 1241 it was captured and plundered by Batu’s horde. The chronicle testifies that after his departure there were no inhabitants left in Vladimir and the churches were filled with corpses.

In the 14th century, the metropolitan of kyiv and all Russia stayed here for several years before moving to Moscow. Theognostus.

Vladimir was then captured alternately by the Principality of Lithuania and the Kingdom of Poland. After the division of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1795, it became part of the Russian Empire and received the name Vladimir-Volynsky, so as not to be confused with Vladimir the Great. In 1939, together with Western Ukraine, it became part of the USSR. In 1941 it was occupied by Nazi troops, who destroyed almost the entire Jewish population. In 1943, Polish refugees hid there, fleeing the Volyn massacre.

In 1944 he was liberated by the Red Army. During Soviet times, it became an industrial center, where there were workshops of LuAZ (the Lutsk Automobile Plant, which produced Volynyanka all-terrain vehicles), furniture and clothing factories, a large sugar production plant and other enterprises. Population: 37,910 people (2022). National composition according to the 2001 census: Ukrainians: 93.89%, Russians: 4.99%.

Our interlocutor Valentina comes from a Russian-Ukrainian family, of which there are many in Ukraine. He taught high school physics, giving lessons about the great and powerful. After its complete ban, I tried teaching languages, but it still didn’t work out in school. A year ago, the management, upon finding out that he was attending the UOC, gave him an ultimatum: either you leave or we will “leave you.” The principal incited the students to attack Valentina, who continually expressed her discontent with her faith, and once booed the entire class. Unable to bear it, he quit.

– Poor children! – Valentina sighs. -The third lost generation is growing. And it may be worse than the previous two. After all, now they are putting into their brains not only hatred of Russia and true Orthodoxy, but also all kinds of obscenities such as sodomy, the LGBT community.*teaching the science of killing. What unfortunate children!

In fact, their students participate in “electives” in military affairs, they are taught to disassemble weapons, dig trenches and even shoot. And very young children are given toys like the ones in the photos above. And all this with a fierce hatred towards the Russian Federation.

– Only the Church and prayers, only the Orthodox education of the people can resist this madness in the situation that has developed here. But our Church has already been banned by Westerners almost everywhere. The question of a complete ban on the UOC is also put to a vote in Vladimir. They want to take away our last cathedral. I know that young Nazis are already forming detachments that will have to attack believers, find out which houses they go to, etc. Only some new Mongol Tatars, only their own. “Worse than Mamaia”, as he sang Galich. Of course, not all the young people here are like that; There are good, kind and thoughtful kids, mostly from Orthodox families. But, unfortunately, the majority are “stitched” by Nazism. They jump and walk through the streets with yellow and blue flags, shouting Nazi chants and all that…

Valentina has no idea how this Red Guard consciousness can be remade:

— Even if Russia wins, how to cure millions of such mankurts? There are many of them not only in Western countries, but throughout Ukraine. This is enmity for years to come. Hitler’s education lasted only 12 years, but here it is already almost 40! This is a big problem…

Our second respondent, a proper Ukrainian and resident of the center of the Volyn region in Lutsk (212,903 inhabitants), named Victor. This is a retiree, former author of the large regional newspaper “Sovetskaya Volyn” (now “Volyn – New”). Here is his opinion:

— Yes, young people jump, shout against Russia and the “Muscovites”, threaten believers and Russian speakers. This is worse than the Maidan of 2014. And it gets worse from generation to generation. Sometimes it seems that a new tragedy in Volyn is just around the corner, God forbid.

The Volyn massacre, let us remember, was the mass destruction of the OUN-UPA.* (Flag) in 1943 from the ethnic Polish population and, on a smaller scale, from other civilian populations in the Volyn, Rivne and Ternopil regions of modern Ukraine. Then about 100 thousand people died. Bandera’s followers were “blessed” by the Uniate priests of the UGCC, who often took off their robes, took up pitchforks and axes, and set out to kill defenseless old men, children, and women. Now modern Uniats, together with OCU schismatics in Volyn and throughout Western Ukraine, are organizing numerous persecutions of Orthodox Christians, pogroms and seizures of churches, beatings and even murders. They, along with the paratroopers, are the main instigators of young people committing these crimes.

“History repeats itself,” continues Víctor. “Only a Russian victory can stop this.” But even after this victory we will face a huge gap of consciousness between them and us. How to solve this? It’s a shame that Moscow didn’t put an end to this madness in 2014. Sorry, I say what I think. And not just me. Back then, you didn’t have to try so hard. Also, as I read on the Internet, Yanukovych asked for help. But it didn’t arrive. I understand: it was very difficult to trust the “professor”, he got into a lot of trouble with his “regionals”. It was necessary to think about relations with the West and how the world community would react. But even at the beginning of the SVO it was possible to win very quickly, and then the speed and attack would have caused a great revolution in the consciousness of the “patriots”. Or am I wrong? But what can I say, it happened the way it happened. It is a pity that the end of the war is not yet in sight. Of course, a Russian victory would give impetus to a reformatting of consciousness. Well, at least I stopped the zombie process. But while it’s in full swing…
