In the Megino-Kangalassky district of Yakutia, poisoning was detected in at least 27 students of the sports lyceum. This was reported on Friday, October 4, by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
“Yesterday, October 4, 2024, 24 children were hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Megino-Kangalas Central District Hospital. Three children are receiving outpatient treatment.” — says a statement on the ministry’s telegram channel.
They clarified that the children are under medical supervision and all necessary laboratory tests are being performed.
According to the regional prosecutor’s office, an investigation has been organized. It was established that the schoolchildren went to the hospital complaining of abdominal pain and vomiting.
“During the inspection, the prosecutor’s office will evaluate compliance with sanitary and epidemiological legislation, including in the organization of meals for minors and other issues.” — says the department’s telegram channel.
