In his speech, the chairman of the council, Inam Karimov, reported on the work carried out in the judicial field in recent times and stated that today practical measures are being taken in Azerbaijan to improve judicial work and adapt it to international standards. and the legislative framework that regulates activities in this area is fundamentally updated.
At the same time, it was noted that personnel reforms, the appointment of new judges to the Supreme Court and the Courts of Appeal and the formation of a professional body of judges will make an important contribution to increasing the quality and efficiency of justice. .
At the meeting, pertinent decisions were made considering cases of disciplinary procedures, evaluation of judges’ performance and personnel issues.
The retired judges were later awarded an honorary decree for their significant contribution to improving the effectiveness of justice through their many years of activity in the judicial system.
