The Indian delegation in Kabul held consultations on humanitarian assistance and use of Chabahar port by Afghan businessmen. Ariana News reports this.
The delegation is headed by JP SinghJoint Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran Affairs. In Kabul, the Indian guests held a series of meetings with officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, including the acting Defense Minister. Mohammad Yaqub Mujahid.
“Providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan is an important part of our political program,” – said the representative of the Ministry of External Affairs of India Randhir Jaiswal.
He added that in recent years, India has sent 50,000 tons of wheat, 40,000 liters of pesticides, 30 tons of medicines and 28 tons of essential materials for earthquake relief.
“We have a long-standing relationship with the people of Afghanistan and these ties will continue to shape our attitude towards the country.” – said.
