Inditex, the group founded by Amancio Ortega, donated more than 350,000 clothes, shoes and household products for people affected by DANA in Valencia, that you will receive from this Thursday Cáritas Foundation, Red Cross and Entreculturas for distribution, as indicated by the company.
In response to requests received from these entities, Inditex will begin delivering this Thursday 156,000 items of clothing at the Valencia Fair, divided into 10,000 individual packages for women, men and children.
In addition, starting this week it will also gradually deliver 12,000 pairs of sports boots and shoesas well as 188,000 home textile products. This donation is part of Inditex’s commitment to help those affected by DANA communicated last week, which also includes financial contributions to social organizations and the channeling of voluntary contributions from employees of the group founded by Amancio Ortega.
Likewise, the group donated 4 million euros to the Spanish Red Cross and Cáritas Española2 million each, to help cover the basic needs of vulnerable or excluded people affected by DANA, which also affected communities like Castilla-La Mancha or Andalusia.
