Ingeborg Bakhmann Prize 2025: artist -artist Natasha Gangle Victory

Clagenfurt DPA | Natasha Gangle won the famous prize ingeborg Bakhmann in Clagenfurt, Austria. The jury announced on Sunday. The Austrian author prevailed against 13 competitors at the literary competition.

The 39-year-old art artist received a reward for her poetic text “Yes” (“Stone”), in which she was looking for hidden traces of the Nazi crowd, which was dedicated to the end of World War II near the Slovenian border at the end of World War II. The jury Bridget Schwings Harrant spoke about her praise of the “incredibly accurate text”.

What is known about the author?

Around the private built -in memorial stone for the Jews of a shot, Gangle asks questions about memorization and forgotten. The text is designed as a poem over long distances. The jury was not only impressed by artistic language technology, but also from a dense atmosphere that Gangl created using dialect passages and accurate observations of nature.

After several years of staying in Mexico and Spain, the author lives in Vienna today and in his original house in Sting. Gangle writes prose, essays and speech texts. Together with the RDECA Rakta group, she developed a new hearing form, which she calls “Klangcomic”.

Berlin writer Boris Shumatsky won the writer Berlin, who was endowed with 12,500 euros, with the text about the impossibility of returning to his hometown of Moscow.

The main prize in the annual days of German -linguistic literature was donated by the city of Clagenfurt. He notes the Austrian Literary Engineering Bakhmann (1926-1973). Last year, he won the author of Tijan, a force born in Sarajevo and lived in Heidelberg, for his text “on the day when my mother was crazy.”
