Andrés Iniesta, former midfielder for Catalan Barcelona and the Spanish national soccer team, announced that he had ended his professional career.
Oku.Az reports that he published information about this on his page on the social network.
The 39-year-old midfielder played for Barcelona from 1996 to 2018. During this period, he appeared in 674 games in all competitions for the senior team, scoring 57 goals and providing 136 assists.
Andrés also played for Vissel Kobe in Japan. His last club was the “Emirates” of the United Arab Emirates.
As part of the Spanish national team, Iniesta twice won the European Cup and the World Cup.
