The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced the cancellation of the extension in the country’s men’s and women’s Super Cup competitions.

The federation’s statement highlighted that this measure was taken to satisfy the desire of the clubs participating in the tournaments to reduce the workload of the players.
Now, if the teams end regular time with a tie, the winner will be decided in a penalty shootout.
It should be noted that the Spanish Super Cup will be played from January 8 to 12, 2025. In this competition, Atlético will face Barcelona and Mallorca will face Real Madrid.
