President Sáncehz’s statement is linked to changes in governmentas confirmed by government sources, after the appointment last Wednesday of the third vice-president, Teresa Ribera, as European commissioner, following an agreement between the EPP, the social democrats and the liberals of the European Parliament. Thus, Ribera is expected to take up his position on December 1 in the new team of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
She will be the current Secretary of State for Energy, Sarah Aagesenwho will replace Ribera as the new third vice-president of the Government and Minister of Ecological Transition, appointed by the President of the Government on November 22.
