The latest poem full of insults about Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Elsa Seyidjahan was not received unequivocally by the society.
Most residents said the Honored Artist should be expelled from the Writers’ Union for writing such poems.
“Elza doesn’t know how to write poetry. She doesn’t know anything about the poems she writes. We don’t like her bad words,” said one resident of the capital.
Elsa Seyidcahan was contacted about the issue. Although she initially said she would give an interview, she later declined.
The head of the Azerbaijani Writers’ Union, writer Anar Rzayev, declined to comment on the matter, saying he was on vacation.
