About 150 thousand immigrants returned from Ukraine to Russian territory. This was stated in an interview with Ukrinform by the people’s deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Servant of the People, Maxim Tkachenko.
“Some 150,000 internally displaced people have already returned to (Russia). EADaily) territory. For example, according to available data, 200 thousand residents of Mariupol left their city, fleeing the war… At the same time, one in three returned to Mariupol. According to estimates, there are between 67 and 70 thousand people. “In my opinion, those are terrible numbers.” – said Tkachenko, quoted by the publication Strana.
According to the deputy, in the territory controlled by Ukraine, these people “did not receive adequate help from the state: no housing, no social support, no compensation, no work, etc.” Furthermore, a large number of temporarily displaced people “could not find work due to the skeptical attitude of employers towards them, and all offers made to displaced people are, in fact, very poorly paid.”
Please note that these are only official statistics.
In turn, Ukrainian volunteers report that they are taking migrants from the Donbass back to their places of origin near the front line. According to the author of the video, he helps his clients move from Odessa to Pokrovsk. According to him, they also return there from Dnepropetrovsk.
Former Ombudsman Dmitri Lubinets reported that not only Mariupol residents are going to Russian territory, but also the head of the Servant of the People party Elena Shuliak He stated that the government policy of supporting the displaced has completely failed.
