The International Court of Justice has confirmed that it will continue the case against Armenia for ethnic cleansing and other acts of racial discrimination during Azerbaijan’s decades of occupation of internationally recognized territories.
Oku.Az reports that Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov shared this on the “X” account.
According to him, despite the objections raised by Armenia, the international court decided to consider the merits of Azerbaijan’s claim against Armenia, including the facts related to the mines.
The court also rejected Armenia’s attempt to remove claims related to mine-laying practices from the court’s jurisdiction.
The diplomat noted that it is vital to guarantee justice for the victims of the Armenian mines. Therefore, the number of victims continues to grow tragically.
