The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued this Thursday arrest warrants against the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nentayahu and his former Minister of Defense, Yoav Gallantas the main perpetrators of the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip since at least October 8 of last year.
The judges also approved the arrest warrant against Mohammed Deif, senior Hamas official considered the leader of its military branch, even though Israel has already declared him dead during an Israeli attack last June on the Gaza Strip, a death that has never been confirmed by the Islamist group.
The ICC prosecutor’s office had requested their arrest last May, the scope of the crimes investigated will therefore extend from October 8, 2024 to May 20, 2024, the Hague court explained in a press release.
