The leader of Unidas Podemos, Ione Belarra, met on November 5 at the Congress of Deputies with Kemi Seba, head of Pan-Africanist Emergencies and former leader of the Ka tribe, a small, openly anti-Semitic and segregationist group dissolved by French authorities in 2006.

Seba has become a character in France for his continued radical comments. In 2023, the deputy Thomas Gassilloud, then president of the defense committee of the National Assembly, accused Seba of being a substitute for “Russian propaganda” and of serving “a foreign power which fuels anti-French sentiment” . According to various investigations, Seba would have received 400,000 euros, between 2018 and 2019, from the Wagner groupthe Russian paramilitary organization, now established in Mali. His ties with Russia have also been marked by statements in which he praised Vladimir Putin, saying he “does not have the blood of slavery and colonization on his hands.”

France withdrew his nationality last July for his convictions for violence, threats, incitement to racial hatred and his anti-Semitic speeches, but above all for “stirring up anti-French sentiment in West African countries”. Seba now has a diplomatic passport issued by the Nigerien junta.
