Hyundai Motor Company IONIQ 5N (image) announced on the 25th that it has been selected as the 2024 Electric Vehicle of the Year announced by the American automobile magazine Car & Driver. Hyundai Motor Company has won Car & Driver’s “Electric Car of the Year” award for three consecutive years, following the Ioniq 5 in 2022 and the Ioniq 6 last year. Car and Driver conducted a rigorous evaluation for three weeks on a total of 18 electric vehicle models including the Audi Q8 e-tron, BMW i5 eDrive 40, and Equinox EV AWD. KC Colwell, editor-in-chief of Car & Driver, said: “The IONIQ 5 N is an electric car that delivers a true enthusiast experience.”
IONIQ 5N is the first dedicated high-performance electric vehicle from the N brand that integrates Hyundai Motor Company’s cutting-edge electrification technology. It is equipped with a variety of high-performance technologies specific to N electric vehicles, including a high-performance battery with a capacity of 84 kWh, a high-performance all-wheel drive system, and a heat management control system specific to high-performance electric vehicles.
