Hakim Georgian Dream: Irakli Kobakhidze will again be a candidate for the position of prime minister of the Democratic Party of Georgia.

“As you know, according to our statutes, the honorary president of the party has the power to nominate a candidate for the post of prime minister, and it will not be surprising if Bidzina Ivanishvili puts forward Irakli Kobakhidze as a candidate for the presidency. And “Of course, the political council fully supported it,” Mdinaradze said.
As for the candidate for speaker of parliament, according to Mdinaradze, the Georgian Dream faction will re-appoint the current head of the legislative body, Shalva Papuashvili.
Mdinaradze noted that the issue of determining the date of the presidential elections was also discussed at the meeting of the political council.
“They also know that the presidential elections must be held after the first session of the parliament. We will determine this date in the near future, when the first session of the Georgian parliament is held,” Mdinaradze added.
