Iran agreed to meet with three large European countries – Germany, France and the United Kingdom – to conduct new negotiations on the country’s nuclear program.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi said: “We are working to establish a meeting date with Europeans.”
Local media reported that on Friday he talked with the head of foreign policy of the European Union, Kai Callah and his colleagues in the UK, France and Germany.
According to the same media, an agreement was reached on the form of negotiations, which are expected to take place at the level of deputy foreign ministers.
In case of confirmation of discussions, they can pave the way for a more extensive communication between Tehran and the West, after a recent 12 -day war with Israel, during which mass attacks were taken both Israel and the United States at the main nuclear facilities of Iran.
After the blows, Iran suspended his cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency of the UN (IAEA), which led to the conclusion of the inspectors.
The latest probability of conversations arises in the midst of reports that European forces threatened to revise the sanctions that softened in the agreement in 2015 to limit the nuclear production of Iran, using the SO -tied “SnapBack” mechanism if Iran does not repeat the conversations.
