Iran changes the scheme of cooperation with the IAEA, the adherence of NPT continues

Liputan6.com, Tehran – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arachchi on Saturday (7/7/2025) states that Tehran will continue to cooperate with the International Energy Agency (IAEA), but in various forms. He explained that cooperation will be adjusted to better guarantee the safety of Iran nuclear facilities.

“According to parliamentary legislation, cooperation is carried out by the High Council of National Security, and a request for cooperation with the IAEA will be considered by one advice that will make a decision,” Aragchi explained, the reported information agency said Anadola.

At a meeting with the ambassador and head of a foreign mission based in Tehran, Aragchi emphasized: “The fact that the system that is not processed by processing is so easily violated is the loss and before becoming a loss for Iran, this is a loss for the international community and international law.”

He also said: “Tehran received a lot of messages from the United States that conveyed the desire to continue negotiations.”

He added: “Iran is not afraid or does not dare to negotiate if the interests and benefits of the Iranian people are guaranteed.”

In the same case, Aragchi confirmed the commitment to the Iranian agreement (NPT), saying: “Iran’s nuclear program is always peaceful and remains such.”

He made sure that Iran would continue to be a member of the NPT.

Aragchi also warned of serious risks associated with Iran’s nuclear facilities, and emphasized the danger of radioactive leaks and threats from ammunition that did not explode from US attacks on June 22.
