Iran does not trust Hezbollah investigation into pager bombings: media

Iran has expressed distrust of Hezbollah’s investigation into the pager incident and radio bombing.

“Maariv” writes about this.

According to media reports, Tehran has sent a delegation to Beirut to uncover the true causes of the massive explosion, which may be linked to the supply of radio equipment.

Iran doubts Hezbollah’s ability to conduct an objective and thorough investigation, and has therefore decided to take the initiative into its own hands.

According to the sources, Hezbollah’s operations will now be under the command of Ali Karaki, who heads the organization’s Southern Command, and Talal Hamiya, head of the unit responsible for operations abroad. Their main task is to coordinate the organization’s actions in response to the current situation.

The Lebanese authorities, for their part, are taking additional security measures. Interior Minister Bassam Moulavi stressed that all services must be prepared for any suspicious activity and intensify surveillance. Particular attention has been paid to coordinating security forces and installing surveillance cameras in key areas of the country to prevent further incidents.

Meanwhile, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei condemned yesterday’s Israeli attack in the Dahaya region, saying that “the Israeli army continues to commit crimes in Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and Judea and Samaria.”

Khamenei also noted that Israel’s goals are directed not only against terrorists but also against civilians, and called on Muslims to “unite in the fight against Israeli aggression.”

Earlier, Kursor reported that the whereabouts of the head of the company involved in the explosion of the pagers have now become known.

Christiana Barsoni Arcidacono’s mother has revealed where her daughter might be now, but this information is also ambiguous.
