Iran’s Vice President for Strategic Affairs, Mohammad Javad Zarif, said resistance to “Israeli aggression” will be even more decisive after the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Zarif noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan for the region and the world “will certainly fail.” He wrote about this on his official X account (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, September 28.
Hours after Nasrallah was confirmed dead in Israeli airstrikes outside Beirut.
Zarif called Nasrallah “a symbol of the fight against oppression” and expressed deep sadness at his death, highlighting the importance of his role as a leader of the resistance in Lebanon and throughout the Middle East. He expressed his condolences to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to the people and government of Lebanon and to all resistance forces and freedom fighters around the world.
