Tehran intends to conclude a “Resistance Pact” with a number of countries and “liberation movements” in the Middle East, which provides for the provision of military and economic assistance in the event of an attack by the United States or Israel on one of the parties to the treaty.
The corresponding bill is being prepared by the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Parliament. According to the Tasnim agency, the agreement involves the creation of an operational headquarters to coordinate military operations and carry out exercises.
It is proposed that responsibility for the division of responsibilities and implementation of the plan be assigned to Iran’s Supreme National Security Council.
