Iranian businessmen are interested in cooperation with Tajikistan in the field of agriculture. This was stated during a meeting between the heads of several Iranian manufacturing companies and the head of the Khatlon region, Davlatali Said, reports Sputnik Tajikistan.
“We are interested in processing high-quality fruits, including apples. “The climate of Tajikistan provides the basis for the creation of large manufacturing companies in order to increase the production of these types of products.” – said a representative of the Iranian holding during the negotiations Mahdi Asadullahpur.
According to him, the Iranian side intends to build the first such company in the Khatlon region and employ more than 500 local women.
It is planned that the plant will process the fruits, including drying, and then juices will be made from them. In the first stage, 7 types of products will be produced.
The negotiations also addressed the issues of industrial development, the expansion of multilateral cooperation between companies from the two countries and the export of agricultural products.
