The Iranian government assured this Monday that it would use “all tools available”to respond to the bombings carried out on Saturday by Israel against the countrywhich led to the death of four soldiers, after Tehran warned that the event would not go unpunished.
“We will use all available tools to respond decisively and effectively to the regime’s aggression,” said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, who affirmed that “the type of response will be adopted depending on the type of attack”, without giving more details on this subject.
Likewise, he praised the response of Iranian air defense systems, which he described as “a turning point in the country’s history“, while asserting that the condemnations by countries in the region of these attacks “demonstrate that they have come to the conclusion that the main problem in the region is the Israeli regime.”
Baqaei also stressed that Iranian authorities were not considering changing their nuclear doctrine after the Israeli attacks and stressed that “Iran’s stance against weapons of mass destruction is clear“We do not believe in the militarization of the nuclear program,” he stressed, as reported by the Iranian Mehr news agency.
Baqaei’s words came hours after the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Hosein Salami, warned Israel that it would confront “bitter and unimaginable consequences“because of their bombings which he described as “illegitimate and illegal”.
The Israeli army carried out bombings on several military positions in Iran on Saturday, as part of an operation that Israel presented as a response to Iranian air attacks launched against the country on October 1. during which nearly 180 ballistic missiles were fired.
