Iranian representatives at the UN discussed details of a possible attack on Israel

Iranian representatives at the United Nations have revealed details of a possible attack on Israel, stressing that the response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh will be strategic and unexpected.

The Iranian delegation said in a statement: “The response could come when the Israelis are focused on the sky or on radar screens and are suddenly hit by an attack from the ground or from the air, and possibly from both sides.”

Three weeks after Haniya’s assassination in Tehran, Iran continues to say it will retaliate against Israel. Iran’s representatives at the UN have given a new insight into the nature of the planned response. “Any response must punish Israel and deter future attacks,” they said. The delegation stressed that “the timing, conditions and method of the Iranian response will be carefully coordinated so that it comes at a moment of maximum surprise.”

The officials suggested the attack could take Israel by surprise and could involve both ground and air strikes. “We must carefully assess the response to avoid any negative impact on the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza,” they added.

Cursor has already written that the spokesman for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also issued a statement clarifying that the delay in the response to Haniyeh’s liquidation may be longer than expected. The spokesman was asked why the response was delayed. He replied: “Despite the severity of the crimes committed by the Zionists, the waiting period for Iran’s response against Israel may be extended.”
