On the afternoon of October 1, the Associated Press and NBC News, citing White House and Pentagon sources, reported that Iran was planning to launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel in the near future due to Israel’s operation against Hezbollah.
The IDF announced the massive launch of missiles from Iran towards Israel at around 7:30 p.m. Moscow time. An air raid alert was declared throughout the country. The Israel Defense Forces asked residents to hide in shelters and remain there until further notice, RBC recalls.
