Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, is cooperating with the French judicial authorities and fully complying with the conditions of supervision established after the charges were brought against him.

“This is currently in full compliance with the framework of cooperation with the judicial authorities,” he said in response to the presenter’s question about whether Durov complies with the conditions of judicial supervision and whether he checks in twice a week at the police station.
The prosecutor also said that the decision to launch an investigation directly against Durov was related to Telegram’s lack of response to requests from French investigators, as well as the desire to prove that organized crime is developing in a world that is often considered virtual. He noted that for this purpose, a law has been adopted in France that allows the management of the Internet platform to be held accountable in the event of illegal transactions. He left unanswered the presenter’s question about whether French investigators are ready to arrest the head of “X” Elon Musk during his upcoming visit to France.
