Russia’s guided bombs and Iskander missiles pose a serious problem for Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, head of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate, said at a news conference in kyiv.*.
“And this is a very big problem for the front line… our soldiers suffer the most at the line of contact and near it,” — quotes Budanov* Bloomberg.
He also noted that production of such weapons has increased.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate called the supply of North Korean ammunition to Russia another “serious headache” for Ukraine’s defense. The United States and South Korea have repeatedly accused the DPRK of sending military aid to Russia for use in Ukraine: the US White House claimed that Moscow received ballistic missiles from Pyongyang, and the South Korean Defense Ministry reported that North Korea sent several thousand containers with ammunition and military equipment to Russia.
In early January, the general director of the Novator Design Bureau, which produces Iskander missiles, announced an increase in state defence orders for these products and an expansion of the company’s capacity.
