Islamic Revolutionary Guard member suspected of trying to assassinate Trump

According to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, last September an unidentified IRGC officer assigned his agent, Farjad Shakeri, the task of surveilling Trump with the goal of eventually killing him. The complaint claims that if Shakeri fails to develop a plan by the deadline, Iran will suspend the operation until after the election, believing Trump will ultimately lose and be easier to eliminate.

Shakeri, in turn, told the FBI that he had no intention of proposing the assassination plan within the seven days during which he was given time to prepare. The allegations came to light shortly after Trump won the election, beating his rival Kamala Harris. The charges reflect Iran’s ongoing efforts to target senior US officials, including Trump, on US soil.

It’s worth noting that while Trump survived two assassination attempts during the campaign, authorities have not linked the incidents to Iran, despite long-standing tensions between the two countries.

The disclosure comes as part of an ongoing effort by federal authorities to curb security threats posed by foreign countries, particularly Iran.

Recall that “Cursor” wrote that Trump’s first appointee was Susie Wiles with the colorful nickname “Ice Maiden.” This woman previously worked with Ronald Reagan and played a key role in Trump’s return to the White House. Susie Wiles will be the first woman to hold this position. Trump chose her not only because of their long relationship, but also because she knows his family well and has the experience necessary to run the White House. He showed his talent amid the chaotic style of Trump, who went through four chiefs of staff during his first term.
