Israel destroyed about half of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement’s missile arsenal in a week of strikes, Politico reports.
“As a result of a week of intense Israeli military operations… by some Israeli estimates, approximately half of its massive missile arsenal was destroyed,” the publication writes.
As the publication points out, a representative of the Israel Defense Forces Nadav Shoshani stated that Israeli forces are in a state of high readiness after the liquidation of Hezbollah secretary general Hassan Nasrullah.
Since last week, the Israeli Air Force has been carrying out massive strikes against Hezbollah targets in different areas of Lebanon. Several targeted airstrikes were also recorded in Beirut, as a result of which senior Hezbollah commanders, including Secretary General Hassan Nasrullah, were eliminated. To date, the Israeli military has reported attacks on several thousand Hezbollah targets. Observers note that Israel has not attacked Hezbollah with such intensity since the Second Lebanon War in 2006.
