The Israel Defense Forces (ISDF) has launched the second phase of its ground operation aimed at destroying Hezbollah’s missile capabilities in Lebanon.
Oku.Az reports that the Israeli newspaper “Maariv” published information about this with reference to army sources.
“The second stage of the ground operation has begun in southern Lebanon, the aim of which is to destroy Hezbollah’s missile weapons, as well as to exert additional pressure on the terrorist organization,” the information reads.
SAKHAL forces are seen operating not only in southern Lebanon, but also in Beirut and the Bekaa Valley, destroying the movement’s weapons depots. In addition, it is highlighted that during the last month “Hezbollah” launched around 90 improvised explosive devices on the territory of Israel, and most of them were captured.
The report also mentions that the attack on northern Israel was carried out from areas where SAHAL forces have not yet operated in Lebanon.
It should be noted that since October 1, Israel has been carrying out a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues bombing the neighboring country from the air.
