The Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Herzi Halevi, called for the preparation of plans to expand the ground operation in Lebanon.
Oku.Az TASS reports that he said this at the meeting on the assessment of the operational situation.
“In addition to diplomatic efforts to reach an agreement in Lebanon, it is necessary to continue preparing plans to expand military ground operations. If necessary, these plans will be put into action,” said the Chief of the General Staff.
Halevi noted that SAXAL “continues to strike Hezbollah targets throughout the region: southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, Beirut and Syria, as planned.”
