The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it is bombing Hezbollah targets in Lebanon to reduce the organization’s terrorist capabilities and military infrastructure.

This will allow residents to return to their homes and pave the way for other military objectives, the army press service said in a statement.
“Hezbollah has turned southern Lebanon into a war zone and has used the civilian population there as human shields for decades,” the Israel Defense Forces said.
