In recent months, Israel intensively strives for Hamas’s operations in Lebanon. Last May, Hamas said that one of his commanders was killed as a result of an attack in Sidon, while Israel claimed that he was aimed at the head of the brigade in the Western Hamas in Lebanon. In October last year, a member of Hamas, his wife and two daughters were killed as a result of an attack on the refugees camp of Milkavi near Tripoli.
At the height of growing tension, Palestane President Mahmoud Abbas visited Bireut last May to discuss the disarmament of the militia weapons in Palestinian refugee camps, since the Lebanese government tried to expand control throughout its region.
This cross conflict has been continuing since October 2023, when Hezbollah began to start attacking Israel as a form of support for the Palestinian struggle.
