Israel’s negotiations with Hamas: Biden’s plans shared in the White House

US President Joe Biden spoke by phone with the leaders of Egypt and Qatar and discussed upcoming talks in Cairo that will focus on a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the release of hostages.

This was reported by the White House press service.

Negotiations on the release of the hostages are scheduled to take place in Cairo this weekend, but the Hamas terrorist organisation has refused to take part.

“He (Biden – ed.) discussed the upcoming negotiations in Cairo and efforts to remove remaining obstacles to an agreement,” the report says.

The talks came after the White House called on all parties to join forces to implement the deal. Curiously, Biden is currently on vacation at a ranch in California’s Santa Ynez Valley, but the White House said it is closely monitoring the progress of the negotiations.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that US UN envoy Linda Thomas-Greenfield said that an agreement on a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages is “now within sight.” She called on the organization’s members to increase pressure on Hamas terrorists to accept the proposal agreed with Israel.

In addition, Kursor has already reported that the Hamas terrorist group’s Telegram channel published details of Israel’s position presented at the Doha negotiations. According to the report, Hamas believes that Israel’s proposals deviate from previous agreements and do not include an immediate and permanent ceasefire.
