Israel’s population nears 10 million – CSB

The population growth rate in Israel in 2023 was 1.6%, compared to 2.2% in 2022.

“Among Jews aged 20 and over, 43.5% call themselves secular, 18.9% follow some traditions but do not consider themselves religious, 13% follow traditions and consider themselves religious, 12.5% ​​are religious, 11.3% – ultra-religious,” — writes Ashkelon.ru.

During the reporting period, there were 2,920,300 families (private households) in the country, with an average of 3.19 people in each family.

In 2023, 81.5 thousand foreign workers arrived in Israel with work visas (67.8 thousand in 2022). 74.4 thousand foreign workers left Israel by the end of 2023 (compared to 55.1 thousand in 2022).
