Israel’s UN ambassador on Houthi actions: Lives of many Israelis are at risk

Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon has lodged a formal complaint with the UN Security Council after the Houthis fired a rocket at Tel Aviv.

“On September 15, the Houthis launched a ballistic missile from Yemen, targeting central Israel. The lives of many citizens were at risk. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack and publicly vowed to continue carrying out similar attacks,” Danon said.

He also recalled that since October 7, the Houthis, with the help of Iran, have launched hundreds of missiles against the territory of our country. He stressed that the time has come for the UN Security Council to respond to these acts of aggression by condemning the violations of the organization’s resolutions and charters committed by both Iran and the Houthis.

Earlier, Cursor wrote that Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati called on the United Nations to condemn the “technological war” Israel is waging against Lebanon, ahead of a Security Council meeting on the issue of pager explosions used by the Hezbollah terrorist group.

He said that “the UN Security Council meeting on Friday must take a firm position to stop the Israeli aggression against Lebanon.”

Cursor also reported that the UN General Assembly has accepted the Palestinian Authority’s proposal to impose sanctions and an arms embargo on Israel. 124 countries voted in favor of this decision, 14 countries voted against and 43 countries abstained.

Israel’s UN ambassador, Danny Danon, condemned the move, calling it “shameful” and effectively supporting “diplomatic terrorism.”
