In our country there are many municipalities which stand out for their particularities and this is one of them. Llocnou de la Corona, the smallest town in Spain
This municipality has been the smallest in Spain since 2022. This title was previously held Emperoranother town in the Valencian province. Until then, it had not been considered that way. But the same year, a cartographic revision of the Cartographic Institute of Valencia (ICV) where the boundaries were readjusted, Llocnou de la Corona being 0.0128 km2 compared to 0.0288 km2 of Emperador.
Llocnou de la Corona is located approximately 20 minutes by car from the capital of the Valencian Community along the V-31. This city has 124 inhabitants according to the latest data provided by the INE. Furthermore, he only has 6 streets (flat and quiet) and its extension measures 130 meters wide and 250 meters long.
The origins of Llocnou de la Corona are linked to the existence of a convent in the 17th century. A small population center developed around it, although the religious community disappeared.
In this municipal area, you may be the Parish Church of the Virgin of the Rosary. Construction of this sacred temple began in 1899 and is in the neo-Gothic style. Previously there was a hermitage in the same place. Inside you can see a neoclassical altarpiece. Its main festival is celebrated on Corpus Christi.
THE main economic activity of the place are its furniture stores and automobile workshops. If they want to buy, go to the health center or schools, they must go to Sedavi or Alfafar.
